The Real Space Race
The Space Race began in 1957, when the Soviet Union launched the first artificial satellite into orbit. From there it became a heated international competition to land the first man on the moon.

Your company is in a space race, but it's not a competition to land on the moon. The space you're looking to claim is your niche, the service you offer that makes you famous with your customers. It's the one thing that you need to do better than everyone else, and in order to achieve that, you have to be the first one to that space. Apple created the iPhone... now all the other touchscreen phones are just all the other touchscreen phones. Facebook and MySpace were the first to create engaging, wide-ranging social networks, and now everyone else is just an imitation. There can be no other "UnCola," nobody else can tell you to "Just Do It," and you can't be "In Good Hands" with anyone else.

So, what is that space for your company? How will your company differentiate itself? How will you make your customers think of you first?

Concerning the moon landing, President Kennedy remarked, "No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important for the long-range exploration of space." Likewise, this is the most important race for the long-range opportunities and superiority of your company.

In the market, there is no prize for coming in second place. You need to win the Space Race. We will be your astronauts.
